Kaleidoscope Ministries Mentoring Program

At the heart of Kaleidoscope Ministries is one-on-one
mentoring. We match children with mentors who invest time
with that child on a weekly basis.

Our mentors are very carefully screened and trained and,
as a result, are the best at what they do. They walk along
side the child through life in order to take advantage of
those teachable moments. They share with them successful
behavior and character traits so that they can begin making
the best possible decisions.

Many mentors pick their child up from school once a week,
go get a snack, and just talk about their day. They help
them with homework, set behavior goals for school and at
home, and reward them for their progress.

Kaleidoscope Ministries also enrolls the children in
extracurricular activities like dance, volleyball, football, and
basketball and the mentors commit to take their child to
those practices and events and encourage them as they
build confidence and self-esteem through these activities.

Kaleidoscope Ministries' One-on-One Mentoring program
also serves as a liaison to the Midland Independent School
District meeting regularly with the principals and teachers
to determine those areas where we can best help the
student.
