Kaleidoscope Ministries After School Program Every Tuesday and Thursday, our school-aged children attend the Kaleidoscope Ministries After School program. The program helps to meet the many educational needs of the children. Our After School program is graciously hosted by Midland Bible Church in their wonderful classroom facilities. The children receive help with their homework from the volunteer tutors. For many of the children, this has become a tremendous source of pride. Prior to the after school program, few of the children had gone to school regularly with their homework completed. The program, however, is much more than just homework help. The curriculum has been designed to creatively stimulate and foster an environment of learning for the children with games and hands-on activities that touch on all areas of academic pursuit. |

In addition to the academic training, there is also a special emphasis on both missions and career awareness. The kids are taught about mission efforts around the world in order to help them develop a more complete Christ-centered world view. Considerable time is also spent introducing them to the many careers that they could aspire to including field trips to get a first hand look at many of these careers. For most of these kids, it is the first time in their lives that they have ever considered what God might be calling them to do as adults. |
